This page gathers and certifies your identification and residency information. The top of the page explains the identification requirements needed to purchase a license. It also explains your options if you do not have a valid ID.

Instructions

Carefully read and complete the entire page. The page is divided into the following sections:

Customer Identification

1.Click the radio button to select your response to the question: "Is the customer a Legal Resident of Michigan?"
2.Enter the "Customer's Date of Birth (mmm dd, yyyy)".
Select the month from the drop-down list.
Select the day from the drop-down list.
Enter the four digit year.
3.If the customer indicates he/she is a legal resident then the following additional questions are displayed and required to be answered.
Click the radio button to select your response to the question: "Does the resident customer have a qualifying Veteran's disability letter?"
Click the radio button to select your response to the question: "Is the resident customer legally blind?"

Already have the necessary ID?

1.Enter the complete identification number in the space provided for one of the identification types listed.
2.Click the Validate ID button.
If E-License cannot validate your information, a message appears with further instructions.
If your information is validated, you will proceed to the Available E-License Items page.

Need to obtain the proper ID?

If you do not have a valid ID you have the following options:

Click the Buy Sportcard button. A Sportcard will be added to your shopping cart and you will proceed to the Available E-License Items page.
Click the Obtain DNR ID button. A DNR ID will be added to your shopping cart and you will proceed to the Available E-License Items page. Hunting and fishing licenses cannot be purchased using a DNR ID.
