Welcome to E-License

The Michigan Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) E-License system is designed to allow customers to purchase hunting and fishing licenses, special hunt applications and permits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week within applicable sales dates. You will also be able to print most small game and fishing licenses using your own printer. Our goal is to make the license-buying process easier for our customers who enjoy the great State of Michigan.

Kill tags are available for sale on E-License. Expect kill tags to arrive within 7-10 business days of your purchase.

Before You Start

  • To make a purchase you will need a valid Michigan Driver License or State of Michigan ID card (issued by the Secretary of State) or DNR Sportcard or DNR ID Card issued from a license agent. Please note you can also purchase a DNR Sportcard or DNR ID Card from the E-License system.

  • E-License will not store any credit card numbers.

  • E-License will not place any permanent cookies on your PC.

  • Visa MasterCard Discover Card Credit card processing is handled through the State of Michigan's Centralized Electronic Payment and Authorization System (CEPAS). When paying for your selections you will be redirected to a CEPAS Payment Module page for entry of credit card information. Once the credit card transaction has been completed you will be redirected back to E-License to complete your order.

  • Test Your Printer
    You will need a printer to print your receipt and some licenses. Please test your printer now. See PC Needs for Online Buying.

Legal Age Requirements for E-License Purchases
